Migrate from DataFast to Zenovay

Keep the numbers you already have. Zenovay imports your DataFast history from a single API key, then adds session replay, heatmaps and uptime monitoring on top of the revenue attribution you are used to.

How to migrate in 5 steps

1

Create your Zenovay account

Sign up and add your domain. You get a tracking snippet straight away, and the free plan needs no card.

2

Add the Zenovay script next to DataFast

Paste the Zenovay snippet into your site head. Both scripts can run side by side, so you can compare the two products on the same traffic before you commit to either.

3

Import your DataFast history

Open Domains, pick your site, then Import and choose DataFast. Paste a DataFast API key and select how far back to go. Fill gaps only is on by default, so days you already have are never overwritten and your traffic is never counted twice.

4

Connect Stripe for revenue attribution

Link Stripe so Zenovay can show which channels bring paying customers, not just visitors. Goals and funnels carry the same idea forward.

5

Remove the DataFast script

Once the imported history and the live numbers both look right, delete the DataFast snippet. Your past data stays in Zenovay because it was imported, not merely mirrored.

What changes

With DataFast

  • Revenue attribution, goals, funnels and visitor journeys
  • No session replay, so you read numbers without seeing the session behind them
  • No heatmaps, so scroll depth and click placement stay guesswork
  • No uptime monitoring, so downtime shows up as a dip in traffic after the fact
  • History import covers Plausible, with Google Analytics listed as planned
  • Analytics in one tool, uptime and behaviour in others

With Zenovay

  • Revenue attribution, goals and funnels you already rely on
  • Session replay, so you can watch the visit that produced the number
  • Heatmaps for clicks, scroll depth and attention
  • Uptime monitoring with incident history on the same dashboard
  • One click import of your DataFast history, plus GA4, Plausible, Matomo, Fathom, Simple Analytics and PostHog
  • Analytics, behaviour and uptime in one place

What you keep

  • Cookieless tracking and a lightweight script
  • Revenue attribution through Stripe
  • Goals, funnels and conversion tracking
  • An API, a CLI and an MCP server for agents

What you gain

  • Session replay to see the visit, not only the count
  • Heatmaps showing where attention actually goes
  • Uptime monitoring and incident history
  • AI crawler tracking, so you can see which assistants read your pages
  • A live view of visitors on a 3D globe
  • Public dashboards you can share with a link

Frequently asked questions

Can I import my DataFast data into Zenovay?

Yes. Zenovay has a DataFast importer that brings daily visitors, pageviews and sessions across, along with breakdowns for pages, referrers, countries, devices, browsers, operating systems, regions, cities and UTM tags. You paste one DataFast API key, choose how much history you want, and the key is used for the import and then discarded rather than stored.

Will importing double count my traffic?

No. Fill gaps only is on by default and writes a day only when you have no data for it, so live tracking and imported history can never be added together. The result tells you how many days were imported and how many were skipped because you already had them.

Can I run DataFast and Zenovay at the same time?

Yes, and it is the safest way to switch. Both scripts can sit in your page head, which lets you compare the two products on identical traffic for as long as you like before removing either one.

What will I miss coming from DataFast?

DataFast covers revenue attribution, goals, funnels and journeys, and Zenovay covers the same ground, so the switch is mostly additive. The honest difference is habit: menus, naming and defaults are laid out differently, so give yourself a session to find where things live.
