Create a Zenovay account on any plan, including Free. Your team is automatically issued a referral code in the format ZEN-XXXXXX the first time you open the referrals dashboard.

Send the link, the code, or a quick screenshot to founders, friends, or readers who would actually use cookieless analytics. There is no minimum, no ranked leaderboard, no public tier.

Earn when they pay

Your friend gets a month of Pro free at checkout. The first time their card is charged, we add 100,000 events per month to your plan and it stays there for as long as they keep paying.

Roughly 10 paying friends. Once you hit the cap, more referrals are still tracked but no further event boost is granted.

Why a cap?

We would rather keep the program simple and free than turn it into an affiliate scheme. The cap matches what most teams actually need; if you have a larger audience, talk to us about a partner arrangement instead.

Who can join, and what counts

Every Zenovay team gets a referral code. A few obvious guardrails apply.

Every Zenovay account, on every plan including Free, gets one referral code per team.
Referrals only convert when your friend's first paid invoice succeeds — Free signups, trials that never convert, and chargebacks do not count.
Self-referrals and referrals between people on the same Zenovay team are blocked automatically.
The Stripe coupon only works on a friend's first paid transaction; it cannot stack with other discounts or be used to extend an existing subscription.

Is this a cash payout or a credit?

Neither, by design. The reward is added monthly events, not cash and not Stripe balance credit. We did the cash version internally and it added a lot of legal overhead for very little value to the people actually referring. Free events scale with how much you already use Zenovay.

What plan do I need to refer someone?

Any plan, including Free. Your referral code is created automatically the first time you open the referrals dashboard in your account. The +100,000 events bonus applies to your existing event budget regardless of tier.

What happens if my referred friend cancels?

The +100,000 events for that referral stops with their cancellation. Other active referrals are unaffected. If they re-subscribe later, the bonus comes back.

Can I refer myself or my coworker on the same team?

No. Self-referrals and same-team referrals are blocked by the API. The program is designed for sharing Zenovay with people outside your own organization.

Where does my friend enter the code?

Two ways. They can click your referral link (which sets a cookie on .zenovay.com that we read at checkout), or paste the ZEN-XXXXXX code into the promo field on Stripe checkout. Either path applies the same 100% off first-month coupon.

Is there a public leaderboard or affiliate tier?

No. We do not publish referrer rankings, and there is no marketing affiliate tier with custom commission rates. If you have a large audience and want a real partnership, email [email protected] instead.

How do you track referrals without third-party cookies?

The referral cookie is a first-party cookie on .zenovay.com (not a tracking cookie), and the conversion event is a Stripe webhook tied to the promotion code your friend used. There is no advertising pixel involved.
